Fuck you D’Amato, you unseated one of the bets senatros New york has ever seen.
46 percent of Americans say God created humans in their present form. Kevin Drum has a bone to pick:
The fact is that belief in evolution has virtually no real-life impact on anything. That’s why 46% of the country can safely choose not to believe it: their lack of belief has precisely zero effect on their lives. Sure, it’s a handy way of saying that they’re God-fearing Christians — a “cultural signifier,” as Andrew puts it — but our lives are jam-packed with cultural signifiers. This is just one of thousands, one whose importance probably barely cracks America’s top 100 list.
Thoughts?
This is probably one of the most racist things that I have ever seen. But what do you expect from a political cartoonist from Georgia.
Snowe Will Not Seek Re-election
If only the rest of the Repblicnas were like Snowe or Collins.
How does this guy even remember how to breath? Also, do you guys know the symptoms of a brain aneurysm?
I think that I either had an aneurysm or that my IQ dropped by about 50 points. So the guy that is not only a denier of climate change and evolution is saying that the Left are against science but that the guy who wants drill everywhere thinks he knows what is best for the environment. This fills me with so much fucking rage.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s
life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish
fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its
unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially
crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of
course, involves orcs.
